How to Manually Import Data into BuzzHub for Notifications

Follow this guide to manually import data into BuzzHub to be used in your notifications. This process is particularly useful if you have a spreadsheet with recent or historical sales data that you want to display as notifications on your website.

Step 1: Access Your Campaign

  1. Log into BuzzHub.
  2. Select the campaign you want to work with.

Step 2: Choose the Notification

  1. Within the selected campaign, locate the notification where you want to display the imported data. For example, this could be a conversion notification.
  2. Click on the notification to access its settings.

Step 3: Navigate to the Data Tab

  1. Once inside the notification settings, find the "Data" tab at the top of the page.
  2. Click on the "Data" tab to open the data management section.

Step 4: Import Your CSV File

  1. Click on "Import Data."
  2. In the import options, choose "CSV Import."
  3. Select the CSV file from your computer that you wish to upload. This file should contain the data you want to display in the notifications, such as customer names, product names, or locations.

Step 5: Review the Imported Data

  1. After selecting your file, click "Submit" to start the import process.
  2. Once the data is imported, you can click on the imported data to review it. This will display the keys and their corresponding values (e.g., First Name: Chloe, Last Name: Lewis).
  3. Ensure that the data matches what you had in your spreadsheet.

Step 6: Use the Data in Your Notification

  1. To dynamically insert the imported data into your notification: Copy the key (e.g., {{First Name}} or {{Country}}) you want to use.
  2. Go back to the notification settings where you configure the message.
  3. Paste the key into the text field where you want the dynamic data to appear. For example, "Jane from {Country} just purchased {Product Name}."
  4. Double-check that the keys match the headers in your CSV file. For example, if the header is "Country", make sure you use {Country} and not something else like {Location}

Step 7: Save and Preview

  1. Save your settings to apply the changes.
  2. Preview the notification to ensure that the data is displayed correctly and dynamically updates based on the imported CSV file.

This step-by-step process allows you to effectively import and use custom data within your BuzzHub notifications, enhancing the relevance and personalization of your social proof displays.
